Description: A Very Sanibel Tree Lighting Celebration: Sparkle, Spirit, and Community! Saturday, November 29 | 5:30 p.m. | Sanibel Community Park & Sanibel Community House Sanibel will shine brightly this season as the island comes together once again for A Very Sanibel Tree Lighting on Saturday, November 29 at 5:30 p.m. at Sanibel Community Park. Following last year’s unforgettable tree lighting in celebration of the City of Sanibel’s 50th Anniversary, this newest island tradition has quickly become a beloved favorite for all ages! Immediately following the ceremony, you are invited to gather at the Sanibel Community House, where neighbors, families and visitors will come together to celebrate the season in sparkling Sanibel style. As part of Sanibel’s ongoing 50th Anniversary Celebration, this now-annual event comes to life thanks to the 50th Anniversary Workgroup and our generous community partners. The evening promises fun for all ages — with Santa and friends, live music, crafts and activities, food and treats, and plenty of holiday cheer! The Garland of Goodwill will also be on display that evening, and there will still be an opportunity for the community to add their own personalized ribbon to the project. Entertainment highlights include performances by The Keys Duo, Andrew Lipke’s Holiday Pops, and the talented Sanibel students from Coastal Dance Company. The BIG ARTS Choir will fill the air with seasonal sounds — with a few island-inspired twists. Guests can also enjoy a festive photo booth and visit special features like Angel Hair Barbie’s fairy hair and Timeless Ties Permanent Jewelry. Several island businesses and nonprofits will host craft and activity tables for children, creating a true community celebration. The Tree Lighting Ceremony begins promptly at 5:30 p.m. at Sanibel Community Park. The celebration continues at the Sanibel Community House until 8:30 p.m. (See attached map for parking information.) Join us as we light up the island — celebrating community, connection, and the magic of the holiday season!
