Description: Downtown comes alive Friday, Sept. 12, for 2nd Friday Art Night (2FAN) — get creative, immerse yourself in culture and feed your soul! Highlights include: CALS Rock It! Lab – Try your hand at screen-printing a t-shirt, tote or poster with Ch3mex, social knitting, henna by Ren and the RockItLab art market. Poetry on the Patio with Katherine Blake and food available at TMT's Sweet Treat Cafe. Art Block Party on Cumberland – Visit the pedestrian paradise between 2nd and President Clinton Avenue. Dance to beats by DJ Amy Blake, explore creative vendors and enjoy food by Maryam's Mediterranean Grill and beer from Stone's Throw. CALS Ron Robinson Theater will have a 7pm showing of “Clue” (1985). This is a craft-friendly showing, with bead knotting kits from Bella Vita and coloring sheets available feel free to continue knitting or working on any other craft during the show. Theater concessions available. Tickets $6.75. Nexus Coffee – Enjoy late night hours with their new Artist in Residence, Allison Turcios, plush cocktails & mocktails, live music and of course, delicious coffee and teas! Historic Arkansas Museum – Live music with Matt McEuen and the Ain't Got Nothin' Band, sake tasting with Origami Sake, beer from Southern Tail Brewery and traditional grog at the recently re-opened Grog Shop. Old State House Museum – Visit the exhibit opening featuring Jack Hill, renowned Arkansas documentary filmmaker while jamming to the sounds of the Michael Carenbauer Trio. Bella Vita Jewelry – Meet the Maker, Sadie Cake Art, and her joyful wearable resin masterpieces. The Window at Sixth Street – View the Thomas James Deeter exhibit "Jump the Gun", get 25% off prints, and see live art making. The Bike Advocacy for Central Arkansas (BACA) will be hosting a bike valet at the Art Block Party and we'll have maps with suggested bike and walk routes for a lively evening to kick off the season right!
