Description: Connect to the heart of where modern music began in Roots Ensemble. This group brings together musicians of all ages to explore the rich traditions of Folk, Blues, Country, Americana, and early Rock — the sounds that shaped popular music today. Each month, the ensemble learns four songs spanning classic roots styles and contemporary interpretations. Students focus on groove, storytelling, improvisation, and the art of ensemble playing. Guitars, banjos, fiddles, mandolins, basses, voices, percussion — all acoustic instruments are welcome! Whether you’re a beginner looking to jam with others or an experienced player wanting to dive deeper into the roots of modern music, this ensemble is all about community, creativity, and shared musical history.
