Description: Sponsored by Hazel A. and Charles R. Morrow-Jones Jazz Girls Day, is a free educational event for girls and non binary youth in middle and high school, individuals that are currently in college music programs, and all Ohio music educators. We accept ALL instruments and vocalists (traditional and non-traditional). This event includes full ensemble sessions, sectionals, faculty performance, interactive jazz history talk, improvisation masterclass, and a final performance/celebration. A local faculty representing all instruments will co-teach sessions alongside our guest teaching artist, to be announced! Music Educators: This event is certified for professional development, with participants receiving continuing education credits upon approval from your district.
