Description: Nitya Nritya Festival 2025 September 6th – 7th, 2025 Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center Salt Lake City, UT 84101 On sale: 7/28/25 at 10am The annual Nitya Nritya Festival is a weekend of immersion into the rich diversity of the Indian classical arts. This year, the festival is scheduled for 6-7 Sept. We bring a Sitar concert by Indrajit Roy-Chowdhury and Nilanjan Chaudhary and an energetic percussion ensemble as part of the musical offerings. Surabhi – A choreographic blossoming This year, we present a curated smorgasbord of experimental and trailblazing work in dance, in thematic and movement vocabularies and offer a broad perspective encompassing such developments that are still rooted in traditional Indian dance genres by way of a talk by scholar-choreographer Maya Kulkarni. Amongst the works being presented is also the intriguing Silpanatanam, a movement aesthetic pioneered by Maya Kulkarni.
