Description: September 16th would have been BB King’s 100th and what better way to celebrate than having a party!? We are actually having 2 parties in his honor with the first one starting on September 14th. This will be taking place on Beale Street front in from of BB King’s Blues Club from 2-6 pm. We will have entertainment from Eric Gales, Corey Lou and the Davillage Band, Rodd Bland and Friends and Mr. Sipp! The Beale Street Flippers will be flipping and the Grizz Drum Line will be drumming. Stax Music Academy and Southern Avenue plus the Whitehaven Marching Band will perform. Kontji Anthony is set to host with Stan Bell as the DJ between sets. This is a family friendly, free event with face painters, glitter tattoos, and balloon twisters for the kids. This is an event to help promote the safety of Downtown and bring a positive light to Memphis. BB King’s Blues Club just wanted to have a big birthday part fit for a KING!
