One of just three traditional Irish bands in Chico, Molly’s Favourite has been delighting local audiences with jigs, reels, and ballads for over 25 years. With a rotating lineup of talented musicians over the decades, their sound is steeped in tradition and community. Expect a lively mix of fiddles, mandolin, flutes, penny whistles, guitars, bass, bodhráns, button accordion, and the occasional tenor banjo! While their heart is in Irish music, their repertoire also includes Scottish, English, and other Celtic tunes—and a few beloved songs for good measure. The band’s name pays tribute to Molly, the daughter of one of their early members and a champion Irish step dancer in her youth. So grab a pint, settle in, and enjoy the music that’s been woven into Chico’s cultural fabric for decades. Sláinte!
