At 1:30 p.m., enjoy a powerful performance by the Piscataway Nation Singers and Dancers, sharing music, storytelling, and dance. Don’t miss Eight Shirts, Seven Coats, Fifteen Fathoms Wampum: The First Deeds, an interactive presentation by Drew Shuptar-Rayvis (Pekatawas Makatawai'U “Black Corn”), featuring lively discussion and original artifacts that explore Native life in the Northeast between 1650–1690. Throughout the day, visit the Woodland Indian Hamlet for ongoing demonstrations and hands-on activities, including atlatl throwing, dugout canoe carving, cordage making, and woodland games. This annual celebration offers a meaningful opportunity for visitors of all ages to experience the lifeways and heritage of the region’s Indigenous communities.
