We’ll be screening films known for their renegade characters, including stories about underdogs fighting the odds, lonely voices crying to be heard, and moviemakers struggling to share their vision. REEL REBELS showcases works from across the globe that prove that movies will always be a home for nonconformists, dissenters, and rebels. The series continues in May with Jean Luc-Godard's BAND OF OUTSIDERS. Anna Karina plays a language student who teams with a pair of rebellious youths to commit a robbery that goes awry. BAND OF OUTSIDERS is a subversive and self aware gangster film that critiques and deconstructs the very genre it’s paying homage to — making it a true staple of the French New Wave.
