Description: Perfect for first-time players of all ages, this class introduces the essential skills needed to start your steelpan journey! Students will explore foundational techniques such as: How to properly hold and control steelpan sticks Developing hand coordination and striking techniques Understanding the steelpan layout Basic rhythmic exercises and phrase-building Introduction to melody and harmony concepts with musical scales This class emphasizes skill-building over performance. Students will gain confidence through guided exercises and learn the language of steelpan music in a supportive, fun environment. Paid in advance $60/monthly (4 -90 minute Classes per month). New students may start the first Saturday of each month.
